At The Bridges, we’re designing a rec center that gives tenants a place to step out of their apartments and into something a little more dynamic. It’s not just a co-work space, and it’s not just a lounge; it’s a mix of both, with the flexibility to support how people actually live day to day.
The space is designed to shift throughout the day. A place to get a few hours of work done, meet up with neighbors, or unwind in a more casual setting. With a mix of work areas, lounge seating, and social spaces, the goal is to create something that feels easy to use and naturally brings people into it.
There’s also a more playful side to this project. Elements like a coffee bar, kitchen, and light recreational features help make the space feel lived-in and social, without losing that clean, modern edge. It’s elevated, but still approachable, somewhere you’d actually want to spend time.
We’re collaborating on this project with Glacier Peak Construction Group, working closely to bring the vision to life in a way that feels cohesive from concept through completion.
Projects like this highlight the range of what we do at MDH and how we approach different types of spaces. Each one calls for something a little different, and here it’s all about creating a place that’s flexible, functional, and easy for residents to use in their everyday routines.
